Opened in 1881, Central Tramway is the oldest surviving tramway company in the country. The Victorian cliffside funicular takes you from the beach at South Bay up St Nicholas Cliff near the town hall, with spectacular views along the way.

Open weekends out of season, and every day in the summer season. Dog-friendly, wheel-chair accesible (with free travel for carers) and good value.
