This historic park is still a firm favourite with locals and visitors alike. Summer events such as the naval warfare show, activity days for kids and treasure hunts run throughout the summer holidays. With an on-site cafe and toilet facilities, and plenty of squirrels, ducks, geese and swans to feed, it is a great way to spend a few hours in nature. Venture up into the Glen and follow our Fairy & Nature Trail for the full woodland experience.

Dogs are allowed in the main park and lake area on a lead, but once you reach the Glen they are allowed off lead - although be warned, there are lots of small furries and streams, so if your dog has a high prey drive, or loves water you may want to keep them on lead.
